Intermountain Bird Observatory Survey
We had a survey done summer 2023 by the Intermountain Bird Observatory. Below you can see the result summary. We offer bird viewing along with exploring, hiking, biking, riding, cross-country skiing, photography, star gazing, and more on the ranch. Hopefully, I will get pictures added soon!
Birds found on our ranch during the point count surveys:
American Robin, Bank Swallow, Black-billed Magpie, Blue-winged Teal, Brown Thrasher, Canvasback, Eared Grebe, Eastern Kingbird, Field Sparrow, Gadwall, Grasshopper Sparrow, Gray Catbird, Horned Lark, Killdeer, Long-billed Curlew, Mallard, Mourning Dove, Northern Pintail, Red-winged Blackbird, Ring-necked Pheasant, Unidentified Sparrow, Vesper Sparrow, and Western Meadowlark.
Additional bird species observed during ranch surveys but not at designated counts:
American Crow, Brewer’s Blackbird, Brewer’s Sparrow, Brown-headed Cowbird, Clay-colored Sparrow, Common Grackle, European Starling, Lark Bunting, Lark Sparrow, Northern Flicker, Spotted Towhee, Sharp-tailed Grouse, Swainson’s Hawk, Upland Sandpiper, Willet, Wilson’s Snip, and Wild Turkey.
