1. Big Game on the Divide hunting packages
We are excited to offer even more hunting options on the ranch with the addition of Mahlstedt Ranch Big Game on the Divide hunting packages! With nearly 3,000 acres of private access combined with over 1,500 acres of BLM and state lands, our property is the perfect destination for your next Montana Big Game Hunt. Monster mule deer, white tail, antelope, and limited numbers of elk are set in a backdrop of the roughest sector of the “Sheep Mountains”. We offer 5 day/4 night packages for up to 5 people.
Lodging in Jord’s House is included with each of our hunting packages. Camping is also permitted.
2. Block Management Hunting
Mahlstedt Ranch has been a part of the Block Management program for nearly 3 decades. Block Management is a cooperative program between private landowners and Montana FWP providing free hunting on private land. If you come here to hunt, your access to the ranch will not be exclusive. BMA hunting is on the western section of the ranch. Typically, we have one hunting party per area.
Mule deer, whitetail, antelope, upland game birds, and predators provide abundant sport for hunters.
You must obtain written permission on-site prior to hunting on Mahlstedt Ranch. Unit 703

Lodging in Hannah’s House can be a great basecamp for hunting in the area, including getting out to our Block Management areas. Note: Booking Hannah’s House does not give automatic access to Block Management hunting. Reservations are made separately.
