Happy National Ag Week!
This week we celebrate agriculture’s vital role in providing a robust and sustainable food supply, creating job opportunities, and contributing to our nation’s overall economic stability. Less than 2% of the population feeds the world. ~70% of farms and ranches in the US are family owned like our ranch.
Recreational opportunities are growing on our ranch! This year we are adding more packages like:
~Meriam Turkey hunting. We have big, fat turkeys in abundance!
~a Cowgirl camp to give women experience in working cattle on foot & horseback
~Day Ranch Camp for kids
~Foraging workshops
~Rodeo weekend packages
~and many more. Stay tuned as we soon update the website.
~If you are wanting to come ride horses but do not have your own horses, we are now able to offer those experiences as well.
~Let us know if you have a business group, ladies’ getaway, bachelorette party, etc that we can help you put together. Please notify us as soon as soon as you can with dates and what you would like to do on a beautiful MT ranch.
Little happens with horses this time of year. But since it’s been a milder winter, Alexis has done more work than normal with the young horses coming up in our program. Tienna is riding MRI ColonelSparkLena in AZ.
Our horse high light this quarter is the only Camo gelding available – MRI Can Man Corona is a 2022 beautiful, balanced son of Can Man Fling. Corona is ready to start under saddle. We are anxious to see all he becomes! (pictured as a yearling)
Transportation: We are working on hauls east & west the end of March & in April. Our #1 hauler gives a discount for multiples leaving our place!
On a different note: If anyone is looking for a business opportunity in Eastern Montana, here it is. Friends of ours who own the best gun store in Glendive are retiring and offering the business for a very good deal. You can message me for contact info.
Unique opportunity: Salers cow head for sale. This cow served us with great calves every year until she was old and I always planned to have her head preserved by a taxidermist when she aged out of our program. I did it, but she just doesn’t look the same as when she was alive so I’ve decided to offer her for sale. Work was done by a top taxidermist in MN. If you want to add a beautiful cow to your decor, let me know. Message for price.
That’s a wrap on some of the things happening on the ranch. May your spring be one of warm rains, green grass, and renewed hope and energy.
Happy Easter!
