Fall into Winter
Hello from our ranch to you! We hope this finds you warm and enjoying the Holiday season. Here is our little update…..Beautiful, warm dry weather made it a long fall to complete many outside projects before winter hit after Thanksgiving with a vengeance! It has been very cold. The last few days have been snow, blowing, blizzards.
I managed to get stuck when checking waters yesterday….
The cattle came off the Divide & are out on cover crop grazing.
The foals were all weaned and are doing great!
We were honored to have an International horse delegation led by the MT Department of Agriculture visit us in October.
Camelina is out of bin and on the train.
Tana spoke at MSU Ag Week on a panel about Agritourism.
Tienna & Alexis were busy with Farm Bureau activities this fall. We are proud to report that Tienna was a MT FB Discussion Meet Finalist!
Our exciting junior stallion, LHR Dun Vintage Smoke (Vince), came home from the trainer for the cold winter months. We really are excited about him. He has such character, smarts, and ability. This is not just an extremely well-bred reiner, but a highly intelligent horse who wants to please!
Hunting success & packages
It was a fully booked fall hunting season with amazing hunting success. Nearly all hunters left with nice bucks and daily quotas of birds. “Birds everywhere” and deer hunters well satisfied. We do have availability for bird hunters in December if you are still looking to go hunting.
Now is a perfect time to give yourself a Christmas present and book a spring turkey hunt. We have dozens of them in the creeks and the fields and close to the house – nice fat buggers!
