Hello from beautiful green eastern Montana! This is my favorite time of year. Meadowlarks are singing, birds are chirping, calves & foals are frolicking, mama cows & mares are glossy & content, and plants are green & growing. The night skies are incredible. Tienna took this picture of the northern lights last week.
The busy never leaves here….it just changes. Branding was a fun success over Memorial weekend. This is the annual cousin photo – just missing Kaden….
The girls used their colts at branding and they did fantastic. One would never have guessed it was their first time! Top is Tienna on MRI Can Man Corona and below is Alexis on MRI Fireproof Percy.
MRI 2025 Calves & Foals
Calving & foaling are down to the last ones coming in their own time. Stallions and mare groups went to their pastures the end of May.
Thanks to good weather and a diligent crew, our calving had a 100% success rate. Alexis is largely responsible for that success.
Our foal crop is incredible. Most of the foals are for sale this summer via our Pasture Pick Pricing (PPP). That information is available on our website. Sales will stop August 1st. We will halter break over Labor Day weekend and then all foals will be individually priced for our Open House on Sunday, August 31st 2-5 pm at the ranch. We have added bred aged and young mares to our sale offering this year. Plan to attend or come visit when it works for you!
Happenings….
Rick made an outhouse for the arena. We are very thankful for all of the handyman jobs he does around the place.
Camo & Tienna have been competing in barrel racing this summer and winning on a regular basis. Can Man Fling has a group of 10 mares he is managing plus he competes every weekend. He walks in flat footed and lays down a run and walks back out. Such a cool horse!
Corinne graduated with her associates degree from Dawson Community College with high honors and is headed to MSU Bozeman this fall!
