2010 Sorrel Quarter Horse Gelding
Here is a really nice gelding who has been used since he was 2 by Aspen Beegle – Apen has done all of Skip’s riding and training. Skip has lots of cow sense, a general amount of speed, agility, and a quiet nature. He’s not a bold horse or a pesky pocket pet. You can catch him in the pasture and ride off. He has good solid feet, legs, and conformation. Skip has been roped off in the pasture and at brandings and will hold a calf. He stands just a hair under 15.1. Rides in about any bit you put in his mouth. He was used in a reined cowhorse clinic this spring and shows a real propensity for the sport. He has a fantastic stop and handle.
Sire, NQH Mossy Boon, is a full blood brother to the 2006 Freshman Sire of the Year, Hesa Peptospoonful. He was an Open Finalist at the 2006 AQHA World Show in Jr. Reining as well as an Open Finalist at the 2005 NSHA Snaffle Bit Futurity, and was the Champion of the Reining at the 2005 NSHA Snaffle Bit Futurity. Smart Janie Jr brings in the strongest cutting blood in the country. Dam is a favorite black mare of ours with Snippys Cowboy, Lenata Doc, and Jacks Skip breeding and a consistent top producer.
