It is the month of Thanksgiving! I hope you are continually thankful.
Fall in eastern Montana
Fall on the ranch is when we are busy trying to wrap up projects and prepare for the long, brutal months of winter. The animals are getting their winter pajamas on and we are hauling in hay, fixing waterers & fences, planting grass seed, etc.
Our last newsletter was telling about our upcoming Open House which was a really nice time with all of the visiting and talking horse. We even got a family picture….

Horses traveling
The foals are all weaned and doing well. Horse sales have been steady this fall. Buyers from Mexico to Ontario and California to North Carolina. The consistent things we hear are how people not only appreciate the looks of our horses, but especially the minds. We do send people their next best friend! We are proud to offer a great selection year-round.
This weanling colt is one of the topnotch foals that we have offered.

People traveling
In September, Alexis & Tana traveled to southern Idaho for a Country Natural Beef tour.

Introducing our newest stallion
They also went to Marsing, Idaho to meet our newest stallion, Woody Be Blue 34, and trainer Jared Ashcraft.

Photographing us
As we work on making renovations at Jord’s creating a destination wedding venue, we decided it was time for a photo shoot. We collaborated with Onyx & Ivory Bridal shop in Miles City, 4 area photographers, and 4 models to capture the beauty of brides on the Divide. It was incredible.

We also had Diamond D Images come do a stallion photo shoot in September. While we are still waiting on the stallion photos, we got those of George & Colonel so that the photo could be sent to the publisher of the book George has written. More info on that when it is released!

Organizational involvement
We had a fun night at the Fall Fest in Sidney

an event which is the brain child of and lead by Tienna

In October Tana & Alexis attended the Montana Agri-Women mid-year meeting. Tana is VP of the organization. Alexis spoke to the group about the REAL program that she is in.

We’re in the News
A nice article was printed about us in the Tri-State Livestock News Fall Cattle Journal 2025

Hunting season
Hunting season is part of fall. We do enjoy seeing the sportsmen. Bird hunting is slowing and deer hunting is rolling. Surprisingly, we haven’t had one antelope hunter this year even though there are a lot of them running on the land. If you like to hunt turkeys, the Merriam hatches were large this year! Our partnership with Landtrust has been a positive thing for us and for hunters.

Beauty
The skies have been amazing this fall. The northern lights made many appearances, a huge moon, twinkling stars, and dramatic sunrises have blessed our views.
