MRI Sassy Sue (Sassy) - Reference Mare

This is one tough old girl. She disappeared after a snowstorm fall of 2023 and we were sure that she had been mountain lion lunch. We searched and searched the Divide for her but could not find her. Mid March 2024, Alexis was fencing on the Divide when all of a sudden Sassy appeared! When I say the Devil Bar Pal horses are a class of their own in toughness, now you know why!

Sassy is a solid, consistent mare who again carries the Devil Bar Pal breeding that I absolutely love. This is the strongest mare line in our herd. I’ll always remember my Grampa Charles saying on the day she was born, “Now that is a perfect horse. Look at the 4 stockings and blaze!”

Sassy gives us foals with speed, quickness, kindness, and a smooth ground-covering way of travel. Sassy is 15 hands and her foals generally outgrow her.
